The setting was a sweet ranch being updated as a vacation destination. I loved the country feel. But the characters didn't really engage me. Why are the main guy and main girl always good-looking? And I didn't appreciate the sensual descriptions of their body parts. Though not actually sexual, it was a little too spicy for my taste. The spiritual thread was nice, especially Chase's refusal to engage in sex before marriage. However, Philomena's conversion left much to be desired--even 1 mention of Jesus Christ would have been nice. There were enough engaging, well-written scenes to keep me reading to the end, but there were several grammatical errors. There were not enough errors to make me quit but enough to pull me out of the story several times.

I liked the plot but I saw the potential for so much more and was disappointed.

I absolutely love this story. The fact that it is related to cattlemens daughters series is so great. I can't say enough good things about this author.
What a delightful read!!! As a farm girl, I enjoyed the extra details as they got the ranch ready for guests; the kind of tack, the trimmings on the house, the layout of the barn. I really liked the progress of Phil's spiritual life. More details there would have been nice. I am looking forward to read the rest of this series.
Good plot, but too many grammatical errors! Check carefully before publishing! Homonyms are tricky with autocorrect!

This book was so easy to read. It kept my interest and I enjoyed the characters so much. This series is my first Contemporary Series and I am finding I love it! I read book 3 first. and now I am hooked on the series. You will find the characters so enchanting. Danni Roan is masterful at developing a great story and fantastic characters with depth. The emotional side of the story is not lacking. She keeps you wanting more for Philomena and Chase. You will love this book and be pulled into this great new series!
I have been so excited about this new series, and was not disappointed. Although I found the premise of the book to be really excellent, the story seemed abbreviated and choppy in places. I didn’t have the opportunity to get to know Chase and Phil as much as I would have liked, I felt like we saw very little of their relationship developing. Since there are more books, I’m hoping we see them again very soon!
I felt like I missed a few chapters. Literally the main characters had a brief conversation after very little alone time previously. By the next page they were engaged. There was no dating, no proposal, no I love you, and then boom they're married. There wasn't even a notation of how much time passed. A sentence was included that they completed pre-marital counseling, but nothing else. The premise of the book wasn't awful, but you were left with so many questions...maybe as an attempt to continue the series. I'd rather not continue the series if they gloss over having an actual relationship.
