I love teacher/student romances. My first teacher/student series was Colleen Hoover's "Slammed". It was wonderful and I was hooked. Not all teacher/student romances are great and not all are bad. This book is a double gem. First, I have found a new first time author. Second, I truly enjoyed "The Force of Gravity". I am so looking forward to the second installment later this year. I read Jessica Sotelo review and thought okay, this teacher/student romances will have a differenct twist. It does and it works. Yes, this book was not the usual they meet before they know he is her teacher. They met in the classroom and it was full speed ahead. If you want a good overview of this book read Jessica Sotelo's review. I agree with her entire review and could not have said it better myself. It appears Kaley and Elijah will not have smooth sailing in book two. I cannot wait. Great job Kelly Stevenson. I am a fan of your writing and book. Love the book cover too.

Force of Gravity a tale of forbidden love Gravity series Book 1 edition by Kelly Stevenson Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I have always liked student-teacher romances and I think this one may be my favorite. Most of the ones I have read are of the two meeting without knowing who they are ...there's an attraction and then boom, they find out they are teacher and student. Not the case here at all. Both Kaley and Elijah know who each other are but the attraction builds from there even though they both fight it and know it cannot go anywhere.

Kelly writes the young girl dealing with loads on her plate quite well. We see Kaley navigate her troubled home life along with her friends and boyfriend. This attraction throws her for a loop and she seems powerless to fight it as fate keeps throwing her and Mr. Slate together. This one has been in my to be read pile for a long time and I only wish I had read it sooner. Eagerly awaiting Book 2 !
Not another teacher romance, I was thinking when I read a review via a blog for this book. I thought I just cant take a dumb teen fawning over another professor!

Well this book isn't what I thought at all...its 100,000 better! This author spun a story, yes a teacher romance, but so much more depth! The edge the author wrote with is like nothing I have ever read before. Kelly Stevenson made sure her character had multiple layers of their personality. The hero in this book was far from I am alpha hear me roar--he was smart, funny, and so well written. Also a kudos the heroine--she wasn't some silly teeny bopper with a crush. I felt the connection from the 1st page all the way to the last page. It is rare the find a story as taboo as this one written so wonderfully. Ms. Stevenson has made a fan out of this girl, and I cannot wait to read the next book. If you are sitting here wondering "Should I get this book?"--get to clicking.
I'm always a little torn reading a teacher/student relationship book. And this book left me still feeling torn at the end. I'm not sure why Elijah fell for Kaley because in class not much was showcased about her to make her 100% stand out except her looks. Obviously things were set up for them to have some moments so that they could slightly get to know each other. But I felt like the attraction on his part happened way to quickly. As much as I liked the anticipation of will they or won't they get together, and the clandestined moments. I was left feeling a little meh about their relationship. I did feel for Kaley and all that she went through during a pretty formative part of her life. It's scary & exciting to be graduating & getting ready to start your adult life & than to add all the familial drama & high school drama with her friends on top of it. It makes me wonder if that's why she ended up so focused on Elijah & falling for him so hard. Even though I'm on the fence about this relationship I'm definitely going to read book 2 in this series because I did find the characters likeable & I want to see how they grow. I also want to see if this relationship can grow & evolve & withstand everything that's stacked up against it.
I love student/teacher romances and this one did not disappoint.
It is a story about a High School senior falling for her math teacher. They have to keep their feelings a secret so both go back and forth between flirting and pushing one another away. Kaley falls hard and fast. Her outlook on life changes completely. She puts her friends on the backburner and slowly pushes her boyfriend farther away. Professor McHotty consumes her thoughts and she tries to block them out only to fall deeper into the web of love.

Eventually the two can't stay away from each anymore. They meet up in secret and try to keep their relationship on the down low. At school they act as if nothing is going on between them. Not everyone believes that though. There is tons of mystery, suspense, and parts that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I really enjoyed the plot and my only complaint would be that certain details weren't always believable. I thought some minor tweaks in the storyline could have portrayed reality instead of fantasy. It was still a fantastic forbidden love story though!

If you are one of those people who hate huge age gaps... You will appreciate this one. Kaley is 18 and Mr. Slate is in his twenties. Nothing feels wrong about the relationship they share. There is a personal connection along with the intense sexual one.

I highly recommend it to all readers who like a mouth watering book boyfriend!
